Physician Assistant Per Diem

Job Details: Level: Experienced, Job Location: Ortho Rhode Island Warwick - Warwick, RI 02886, Position Type: Per Diem, Education Level: Masters, Salary Range: $85.00 - $85.00 Hourly, Travel Percentage: None, Job Shift: Day, Job Category: Health Care, Ortho Rhode Island has an excellent opportunity for a per diem Physician Assistant to join its Ortho RI Express team. The Physician Assistant will provide care at the Warwick location.

Summary: The provider will assess and treat urgent musculoskeletal injuries in an orthopedic urgent care setting.

Performs and documents history and physicals of walk-in patients
Evaluates and treats injuries including sprains, strains, fractures, wound care and post op problems
Performs in-office procedures such as cast/splint placements, wound care and managing infection
Orders X-rays and other diagnostic tests as needed
Consistently and accurately documents all calls, treatments, medications, etc. in patient chart
Instructs and counsels patients regarding diagnosis and follow up steps
Responds to all patient questions
Assists physicians in addressing urgent patient needs as necessary
Maintains clinical information with additions/corrections as needed
Consults with an orthopedic surgeon as needed
Performs other duties/projects as assigned

IND2 Qualifications: Requirements:

NCCPA Certified



Rhode Island PA license
DEA
Minimum of one-year orthopedic or emergency room experience preferred
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
