Overview
We are seeking a Desktop Support Technician to provide first-level technical support in a fast-paced enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting Windows-based systems, Microsoft Office applications, and end users across a variety of hardware and software platforms. This role requires strong customer service skills, technical troubleshooting abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional support experiences.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to end users via phone, remote tools, and in-person assistance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, operating system, email, and application-related issues.
- Support Windows desktop environments, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of systems and peripherals.
- Assist users with Microsoft Office Suite applications, Outlook, and other standard business software.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and related technology.
- Document incidents, service requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions within the ticketing system.
- Escalate complex issues to appropriate teams while maintaining ownership and communication with end users.
- Follow established support processes, procedures, and service level expectations.
- Deliver excellent customer service while managing multiple support requests and priorities.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ year of IT support, help desk, desktop support, or technical support experience in an enterprise environment.
- 1+ year of customer service experience supporting users and resolving technical issues.
- Experience troubleshooting Windows 10/11 operating systems, hardware, and software issues.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and retain technical information.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting enterprise environments with 500+ users.
- Exposure to remote support tools and ticket management systems.
- Knowledge of desktop hardware repair and peripheral support.
- CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent technical knowledge.
- Experience supporting both remote and onsite users.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Columbus, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
