Mobile Software Development Engineer in Test

We're partnering with an industry-leading organization seeking a Mobile Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to drive quality and automation across mission-critical iOS applications. What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable iOS test automation frameworks using Swift, XCTest, and XCUITest.
• Build reusable testing libraries, utilities, and automation components that improve reliability and efficiency.
• Define test strategies, quality metrics, coverage goals, and release readiness standards.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using modern DevOps practices.
• Partner closely with software engineers, product teams, and stakeholders to drive quality early in the development process.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and eliminate flaky tests while continuously improving test reliability.
• Mentor team members on testing best practices and contribute to engineering excellence initiatives

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in Mobile QA Automation or SDET roles with a focus on iOS applications.
• Strong expertise with Swift and the iOS ecosystem.
• Hands-on experience with XCTest and XCUITest automation frameworks.
• Experience building and scaling mobile automation frameworks from the ground up.
• CI/CD experience with tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins.
• Familiarity with SwiftUI, UIKit, mobile architecture patterns, API testing, and modern testing practices.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to influence quality across cross-functional teams.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Newport Beach, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $77.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
