Peer Mediation Sponsor (.5) FTE

Position Description:
Hampshire High School is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the role of a (.5) Peer Mediation sponsor with a strong knowledge of student mediation. Must be organized, flexible, able to take direction from the direct supervisor, and able to work with other activity sponsors.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience sponsoring Peer Mediation/Mentoring at the high school level is preferred. Must be organized, flexible, able to take direction from the direct supervisor, and able to work with other activity sponsors.
• Lead students for sustained participation and success.
• Maintain accurate records of supplies.
• Organizes and oversees all areas of responsibility.
• Communicates with the Athletic Director to secure facilities to ensure a safe environment for students.
• Communicates and plans with other sponsors to ensure the well-being of the student participants.
• Coordinates with the Athletic Director all scheduling and planning.
• Attends and supervises all meetings and events.
• Sponsorship of meetings
• Engages in personal professional development activities.
• Offer to students the opportunity to develop leadership qualities.
• Provides citizenship training.
• Affords the student body a part of the organization and administration of special activities of the school.
• Make possible a liaison between the student body and the school administration and faculty.
• Serve as a service organization benefiting the total school program.
• Other Duties as assigned by the Athletic Director
