The Production Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating skid and e-house integration operations from equipment receipt through final testing and shipment. This role translates project scope, drawings, materials, and schedules into practical production plans while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, on time, and to quality standards.
This position will play a key role in establishing and improving production processes, scheduling methods, standard work, and performance measures to support continued growth.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and manage production schedules, manpower plans, priorities, and work sequencing.
- Coordinate production from equipment receipt and staging through installation, wiring/bussing, testing, packaging, and shipment.
- Partner with Project Management, Engineering, Procurement, Quality, and Production to ensure projects are ready for execution.
- Identify material, drawing, scope, and engineering issues and drive timely resolution.
- Establish labor requirements, production durations, project milestones, and capacity needs.
- Lead, develop, and support production personnel while promoting accountability and teamwork.
- Establish and improve standard work, installation methods, checklists, and production controls.
- Monitor labor, schedules, quality, material availability, productivity, and overall project progress.
- Coordinate testing, punch-list completion, documentation, and shipment readiness.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient production environment.
- Support production floor layout, equipment, tooling, facility needs, and vendor coordination.
- Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and overall workflow.
Performance & KPI Management
Establish and monitor key SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) and production metrics, including safety performance, rework and quality, schedule adherence, labor hours versus budget, productivity, throughput, backlog, and production capacity.
Qualifications
- Experience leading production, manufacturing, integration, or industrial operations.
- Experience with electrical integration, industrial equipment, modular systems, switchgear, power distribution, skid systems, e-houses, or similar environments preferred.
- Strong production planning, scheduling, and resource management skills.
- Experience developing or improving production processes, standard work, and KPIs.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, schedules, and technical documentation.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively across Engineering, Project Management, Procurement, Quality, and Production teams.
- Hands-on leadership style with the ability to operate effectively in a growing and evolving production environment.
