Summary
This is a highly responsible position that is responsible for the day-to-day functions of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable financial information. This position reports to the Fiscal Operations Supervisor.
Examples of duties
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- May perform either/both the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable daily activity to ensure that work gets completed.
- Assists in processing invoices for payment. Assist with daily accounts receivable work-receipting/invoicing.
- Provide assistance and guidance to staff, other departments and general public with questions pertaining to accounts receivable and accounts payable related items, including vendor updates, policy changes, etc.
- Reconcile Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable general ledger accounts monthly with subsidiary reports.
- Assists in training staff, including cross-training as needs arise and job functions change.
- Assists in determining appropriate work flow to ensure audit compliance pertaining to separation of duties.
Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with an associate’s degree in business or accounting
- Two years of responsible accounting experience preferably in the accounts payable and/or accounts receivable areas.
- Must possess advanced computer skills.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Must possess a valid Florida Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
