MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Director of Contracts Administration to join our team in Herndon, VA. This is a hybrid schedule and will require 2-3 days a week onsite.
In this leadership role, you will serve as a trusted executive advisor to senior leadership, shape strategic customer relationships, and direct full lifecycle contract administration to align with MANTECH’s broader operational and financial objectives.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Serve as a primary strategic contact and demonstrated influencer in executive-level government meetings, establishing key relationships to resolve high-stakes contractual/financial challenges and advance corporate initiatives.
- Direct the full spectrum of pre- and post-award lifecycle contract strategies, ensuring organizational compliance while maximizing business growth and operational flexibility.
- Lead, mentor, and build high-performing contract management teams; direct resource allocation, workload prioritization, and cross-divisional support for high-priority surge requirements.
- Leverage deep insight into corporate financial drivers to structure contractual agreements that optimize revenue, profit margins, and long-term business performance.
- Partner directly with executive leadership, program managers, finance, legal, and business development teams to guide internal and external strategy.
- Oversee corporate risk posture, ensuring seamless execution, dispute governance, and timely integration of contractual artifacts into enterprise systems of record.
- Maintain operational capability within Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF) environments as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience) with 12+ years of senior-level government contract administration and leadership experience.
- 10+ years of progressive contract administration and organizational leadership experience in an Intelligence contracting environment.
- Proven success managing complex portfolios of varied contract types, including CPFF, CPAF, CPIF, FFP, Level of Effort, and Other Transaction Authority (OTA) agreements.
- Expert-level mastery of FAR, DFARS, and agency-specific supplemental clauses.
- Demonstrated executive capability in collaborating with key organizational stakeholders and program executives to solve complex corporate challenges.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Comprehensive strategic understanding of Government Solicitation Requirements, Commercial Practices, and enterprise-level risk management.
- Proven leadership across the proposal life cycle, including cross-functional oversight with pricing, subcontracts, finance, and legal teams to mitigate proposal risks, handle EN submissions, and oversee Q&As.
- Demonstrated executive track record of independently navigating complex contractual disputes, claims, Requests for Equitable Adjustment (REAs), and audits in coordination with legal counsel.
- Advanced expertise in identifying and reviewing Organizational Conflict of Interest (OCI) issues, including the development, execution, and oversight of enterprise mitigation plans.
Clearance Requirements:
- Must have an active TS/SCI security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Polygraph
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery.
- Frequently communicates with executive leadership, co-workers, and government stakeholders, including preparing and delivering formal presentations; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
The projected compensation range for this position is $159,300.00-$287,100.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
