Standard Job Description

This Release Train Engineer (RTE) role within the 1LMX Finance Enablement Team will be responsible for enabling capability delivery within the 1LMX ERP portfolio. This position requires someone who is passionate about agile methodologies and can thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment. The RTE will lead and manage agile teams and release trains, working closely with product owners, developers, stakeholders, and leadership to ensure successful delivery of value across the enterprise. The RTE will be expected to:

Core Competencies:

• Utilize systems thinking – sees the big picture while managing detailed execution
• Promote collaboration, problem solving and adaptability

ART Planning & Execution:
• Facilitate Program Increment (PI) Planning, demos and other ART events
• Own the ART’s cadence, synchronization of teams, and confidence levels
• Track and report ART velocity, predictability, and burn up/down metrics
• Identify, visualize, and resolve cross team and cross-ART dependencies
• Escalate impediments to appropriate management levels/Risk Manager; drive timely mitigations
• Assist in tracking the execution of Capabilities and Features through ART-level agile metrics
• Maintain and publish ART health dashboards

Continuous Improvement:
• Coach leaders, teams and scrum masters in lean-agile practices and mindsets with powerful questions and apply systems thinking
• Foster high performing, self-organizing teams and a collaborative culture
• Provide input on resourcing to address critical bottlenecks

Stakeholder & Communication:
• Serve as the primary liaison among the ART, Business Owners, Product Management, and System Architecture
• Communicate ART status, risks, and milestones to senior leadership

In light of current internal business pressures, priority consideration will be given to qualified candidates who are currently affiliated with the Enterprise Operations’ EBDT (Enterprise Business & Digital Transformation) organization.

Coordinates planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility. Plans and formulates engineering program; reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Evaluates and approves design changes, specification and drawing releases. Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.

Basic Qualifications

5+ years of RTE or Scrum Master experience
Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle

Desired Skills

Experience in the Lockheed Martin 1LMX Agile Hive guardrails
Understanding of financial cadences and Agile integration for Earned Value Mgmt
Ability to appropriately resource plan for successful delivery

Pay Information

GeoZone Definition: GeoZones are geographic groupings created by Lockheed Martin to align compensation ranges with regional labor markets and cost-of-labor differences across the United States. Locations are assigned a Geo Zone based on the primary work location of the role.

  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 1): $131100.00 - $243500.00
    • Includes metropolitan areas such as Sunnyvale CA; Pal Alto, CA; New York City metropolitan area; Newark, New Jersey; etc.
  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 2): :$118000.00 - $219100.00
    • Includes metropolitan areas such as Denver, CO; King of Prussia, PA; Stratford, CT; Moorestown, NJ; etc.
  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 3): :$104900.00 - $194700.00
    • Includes metropolitan areas such as Dallas–Fort Worth, TX; Orlando, FL; Grand Prairie, TX; Marietta, GA; etc.
  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 4): :$94400.00 - $175200.00
    • Includes metropolitan areas such as Camden, AR; Lexington, KY; Ocala, FL; Lufkin, TX; etc.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
