The Transportation DMV Agent 1 will report to the Department of Motor Vehicles Regional Office in Kanawha City. Under general supervision, this position performs full-performance level public contact work involving the processing, recording, and issuance of drivers’ license, vehicle registration, vehicle titles, and related documents in a Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) regional office. Work involves knowledge, interpretation, and the application of motor vehicle laws, policies, and procedures. Performs related work as required.

Qualifications

Preference may be given to Candidates with these qualifications

TRAINING/EDUCATION:
Graduation from standard high school or the equivalent.

EXPERIENCE:
One year of full time or equivalent part time paid experience in bookkeeping, cashiering, or related public contact work.
Substitution: College credit from an accredited college or university, business school, or vocational training may be substituted through an established formula for the required experience.

A valid driver's license is required and must be maintained. Work schedules are assigned and rotated on a regular basis. Overtime Hours may be required.
