Job Description

We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic faculty member to teach in our HVAC Program. This is a part-time, professional position reporting directly to the Dean of Education. The primary responsibility will be to teach HVAC/R courses. Applicants will also be expected to provide academic advising to students, and participate in department training, meetings and graduation.

Requirements

• Completion of an HVAC/R program resulting in a Certificate of Completion or a Diploma; an associate degree is preferred but not required

• Certification:

  • A Virginia Department of Professional & Occupational Regulation (DPOR) tradesman license
  • EPA Universal
  • HVAC Journeyman is not required but desired
  • NATE Certification is not required but desired

• At least three years of experience as an HVAC/R Technician

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Highly organized, motivated, and results-driven

• Prior higher education/postsecondary teaching experience preferred
