Operations Property Manager, Workplace Design & Industrial Engineering

Siemens Real Estate (SRE)

Shape the Places Where Siemens Innovates and Manufactures

At Siemens, we believe the workplace is more than a building. It is a dynamic ecosystem that enables innovation, collaboration, manufacturing excellence, and a world-class employee experience.

Siemens Real Estate (SRE) manages a global portfolio spanning more than 8.4 million square meters across 1,600 locations. We are seeking an Operations Property Manager, Workplace Design & Industrial Engineering who can seamlessly navigate the requirements of both modern office environments and complex industrial sites. You will blend operational excellence, workplace strategy, and industrial design thinking to create environments that are efficient, sustainable, and inspiring.

This role is ideal for a professional who understands that the most successful workplaces—whether a collaborative office hub or a production floor—are thoughtfully designed around both people and performance. You will serve as the on-site leader responsible for managing property operations while driving design initiatives that improve functionality, user experience, and operational effectiveness.

As an Operations Property Manager, you will oversee site operations while leading workplace improvement projects that enhance how employees, customers, and visitors interact with Siemens facilities. You will leverage principles of industrial engineering, human-centered design, and facility operations to optimize space utilization, workflow efficiency, ergonomics, and the overall workplace experience.

Working at the intersection of facilities management, workplace strategy, and industrial engineering, you will help transform Siemens locations into high-performing environments that support business growth and employee engagement.

What You’ll Own

Property Operations & Facilities Leadership

Serve as the primary Siemens Real Estate representative responsible for day-to-day operations across a diverse portfolio of office, R&D, and manufacturing sites.

Manage vendor performance, maintenance programs, building services, and workplace amenities to ensure a premium facility experience.

Ensure facilities meet Siemens standards for safety, compliance, sustainability, and operational excellence.

Act as a trusted advisor to site leadership, business stakeholders, and service providers, balancing the needs of office-based and production-based teams.

Workplace Excellence & Industrial Design

Lead workplace design initiatives that enhance employee experience, productivity, and collaboration in both office and industrial settings.

Apply industrial design and human-centered design principles to create spaces that are functional, intuitive, and aligned with modern hybrid work and lean manufacturing goals.

Evaluate workplace ergonomics and employee workflows to improve efficiency and user satisfaction across the entire site.

Partner with architects and workplace planners to develop innovative solutions for innovation centers, collaborative work environments, and shop-floor modernizations.

Space Planning & Industrial Engineering

Analyze occupancy data, workflow patterns, and operational requirements to optimize workplace layouts and space utilization.

Develop concepts and recommendations that improve operational throughput while enhancing workplace aesthetics and functionality.

Utilize design and visualization tools to support workplace planning and site development initiatives.

Evaluate furniture systems, workspace configurations, and smart building technologies to ensure alignment with both office and production needs.

Recommend solutions that balance cost efficiency, employee experience, and long-term scalability.

Project & Portfolio Management

Lead multiple workplace, facilities, and industrial improvement projects simultaneously from concept through implementation.

Coordinate cross-functional teams including Facilities, IT, EHS (Environment, Health & Safety), and Manufacturing Engineering.

Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with Siemens Real Estate objectives.

Financial & Contract Management

Manage site operating budgets, capital improvement projects (CAPEX), forecasting, and financial reporting.

Monitor vendor contracts and service agreements to ensure performance, compliance, and value delivery.

Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce occupancy costs across the portfolio.

What You Bring

You combine the operational discipline of a facilities expert with the creativity and systems-thinking mindset of an industrial design professional. You understand how the physical environment—from the lobby to the production line—influences employee performance and organizational success.

To thrive in this role, you have:

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Design, Facilities Management, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.

7-10+ years of experience in property management, facilities operations, or operational leadership roles.

Experience managing multiple projects and stakeholders within complex corporate or industrial environments.

Strong understanding of facilities management, workplace service delivery, and site operations.

Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, and contract management.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience applying workplace strategy, ergonomics, or human-centered design principles in commercial or industrial environments.

Knowledge of occupancy analysis, space planning, and facility optimization.

Experience with CAD, BIM, AutoCAD, or similar workplace planning platforms.

Technical understanding of building systems, manufacturing environments, and smart building technologies.

Professional certifications such as CFM, FMP, PMP, or LEED/WELL Accreditation.

Why This Role Stands Out

Total Environment Ownership: Influence the end-to-end experience for employees, whether they are innovating in a lab, collaborating in an office, or performing on a production floor.

Strategic Hybrid Role: Blend the creativity of workplace design with the technical precision of industrial engineering and the operational rigor of facilities management.

Innovation at Scale: Join a global real estate organization that is redefining how world-class workplaces support both people and business performance.
