Facilities Officer

What's The Role

The Facilities Officer with Liberty/Flow Trinidad is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of all facilities-related activities within the organization. This on-site position includes maintenance, safety, space management, and supporting various departments to ensure a safe, clean, and functional environment.

What You'll Do

Daily Operations:

• Assign daily tasks to the facilities team and oversee their completion.
• Compile and review daily work reports.

Maintenance:

• Perform minor electrical, plumbing, masonry, and welding work.
• Build and repair sheetrock/gypsum walls and ceilings.
• Build and install ladder racks both on walls and suspended throughout hub sites.
• Bolt down large electrical/data cabinets and install batteries using hydraulic lifts.

Project Management:

• Assist with planning and managing facilities projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion.
• Coordinate with contractors for discussions and meetings related to ongoing and upcoming projects.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors on quotations for building maintenance.

Support Services:

• Assist the IT department with kiosk installations, hardware changes, and upgrades.
• Provide assistance to the mechanic and other departments as needed.

Safety and Compliance:

• Conduct bomb sweeps at the Oval and ensure thorough clean-up after events and company meetings.
• Ensure all facilities comply with health and safety regulations.

Emergency Response:

• Be on standby for emergencies, providing immediate response when needed.

General Duties:

• Maintain open and effective communication within the facilities team and other departments.
• Continuously seek to improve facilities management practices and processes, while adhering to the company’s Health and Safety Practices.
• Performs any other duties related to this job description.

What You'll Need

Knowledge & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications are a plus.
• Proven experience in facilities management or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.

Skills & Abilities

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
