Engineer 2, Industrial Engineering

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintain & update IE standards (efficiency, HPU, capacity model, OEE) & systems.
• Identify elements of improvements and lead the improvement projects.
• DL Efficiency and OEE monitoring.
• Evaluate operator’s requirement according to business requirements.
• Capacity assessment for set up standard time, operator manpower allocation, man-machine ratio improvement.
• Work out capacity ramp plan together with teams as a leader and manage ramp progress.
• Optimize allocation of manufacturing resources and solve emergency capacity issues.
• Manage capacity ramp related CapEx
• Identify opportunities and lead capacity improvement.
• Plan and manage factory layout, improve factory space utilization
• Plan and manage production layout, optimize production material/people flow and improve production space utilization.
• Coordinate layouts change implementation with related teams.
• Plan manufacturing budget, review product standard cost, monitor, analyze and continuously reduce manufacturing cost.
• Break down quarterly/monthly cost management objectives, analyze and continuously reduce manufacturing cost.
• Review actual cost vs. budget and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Review manufacturing capex budget plan and actual execution.
• Coordinate cost reduction program.
• Monitor factory operations KPIs.
• Routine reports and report automation.
• Lead or support special projects as assigned by upper management
• Report projects and make recommendations to upper management.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science is required. A major in Industrial Engineering, Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field is preferred.

Skills

• Fluent in English listening, speaking, reading and writing.
• IE/Lean manufacturing experiences in manufacturing industry.
• Conversant with manufacturing cost analysis and reduction, cost mindset.
• Project management experiences.
• AutoCAD, MS office software.
• Effective communication skills.
• Adaptability, Customer Focus, Innovation, Planning and Organizing, Problem Solving, Decision Making and Continuous Improvement, Professional and Technical Knowledge and Skills, Reliable and Dependable, Results Oriented, Teamwork and Positive Relationships, Work Standards/Quality/ Details.

Working Conditions

• At least 2 year IE/Lean manufacturing management experiences in multi-national company. Project management experience will be a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Requires the ability to work in both an office and manufacturing environment, including prolonged sitting, standing, walking... Must be able to move around the production floor and wear required PPE.
