Senior Team Lead - Label and Packaging

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for product label and packaging development and qualification.
• Perform verification tests to ensure transportation safety and security for shipments.
• Design various types of optical device packaging and labeling from the R&D phase.
• Provide overall packaging design and solutions based on R&D and customer requirements.
• Support new product development, product design changes, and product optimization.
• Maintain the label and packaging operation and delivery system.
• Translate international logistics and transportation requirements into appropriate packaging and labeling solutions.
• Design packaging and labels for different products and provide packaging illustrations to PM, PE, and ME from the design stage through shipping preparation.
• Identify and resolve packaging-related issues raised by customers and production teams.
• Prepare and implement packaging and labeling documentation, including packaging illustrations, label illustrations, related drawings, and Work Instructions (WIs) for shipping packaging.
• Design optical device packaging and labeling from the R&D phase and provide comprehensive design solutions according to R&D and customer requirements.
• Identify and develop new packaging materials and technologies to improve packaging quality, supply chain flexibility, and packaging process robustness.
• Drive packaging cost reduction while maintaining product quality and transportation safety.
• Ensure regulatory and safety compliance for different products and implement relevant product labeling and packaging requirements.
• Collaborate with the Quality team to ensure proper control throughout the product development phase and maintain compliance with labeling and packaging requirements.

Education & Experience

• 7+ years of experience in label and packaging design, preferably with experience in semiconductor, electronics, optics, photonics, or industrial manufacturing.
• Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Packaging Engineering

Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• SolidWorks / CAD / Bartender.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Skilled in the design of label and packaging. Experience in label and packaging material, printing. Skilled in the use of label and packaging material such as corrugated paper, Mylar, EPE, pallet and some plastic materials.
• Able to support from the customer and market demand.

Working Conditions

• Working conditions typical of a climate controlled and professional office environment with regular interaction on the manufacturing floor.
• Regular use of standard office equipment, including computers, telephones, printers, and other business-related tools.
