Mission description

Key focus of the role is to assist with the administration of all system related setups and configurations, as well as offering support on a daily basis at our Hertz Rent A Car - Technology Department in Cape Town.

Profile

Key Responsibilities:

Rate Management: Administration and issuing of new rates, rate renewals, and rate modifications.
System Administration: Administration and configuration of the Wheels Car Rental System. This includes all base setups, such as stations, rates, contracts, surcharges and additional options.
Global Systems Support: Administration and maintenance of all Hertz global platforms (GDD, RAM, RMS etc.)
Market & Competitor Analysis: Monitor competitor pricing and fleet availability to assist the revenue team in decision making.
Troubleshooting & Support: Investigate and troubleshoot reported system issues and reporting the issues to 3rd party vendors where need be (Wheelsys for example).
User Support: Offer support to internal staff and assist in finding solutions and resolves to system related issues.
Innovation: Implementing and suggesting new and innovative system solutions to enhance the customer experience as well as the staff efficiency.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Experience: 3 years of experience in a car rental role or a comparable system administration role.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in car rental systems (Cars+, Wheels) and GDS platforms (Amadeus, Sabre). Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables).
Analytical Ability: Comfort analysing pricing matrixes, yield data, and inventory utilization reports.
Communication: Clear written and verbal communication skills for cross-departmental coordination.
Education: Matric
