Electrician

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our mining team. The Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment within the mining operation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment, including motors, transformers, generators, and lighting systems.

• Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform repairs as needed.

• Inspect electrical systems and equipment to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.

• Test electrical systems and equipment using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes.

• Read and interpret electrical blueprints and technical diagrams.

• Follow all safety protocols and regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and other personnel to ensure efficient operations.

Qualifications:

• Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent.

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience as an electrician, preferably in a mining or industrial environment.

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and equipment.

• Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and technical diagrams.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Willingness to work in outdoor and sometimes adverse weather conditions.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 30 kg).

• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
