Service Manager, East Canada

Our Service Manager is a self-motivated, reliable and dynamic individual with an entrepreneurial spirit, capable of leveraging their mutually beneficial relationship to deliver high-value products and services to our customers. Responsible for identifying and progressing HyService opportunities in the assigned region. Working with customers to generate opportunities to grow the Voith Service Business in North America.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Act as regional business development lead for all service offerings (OPEX, LTSA, CAPEX, Spares, Digital) and strengthen customer relationships through collaborative sales while managing a strong & healthy regional pipeline in SalesForce.
  • Drive achievement of sales targets, including consistent monthly order intake, year-over-year growth in orders received, and operating profit improvements, with clear accountability for delivering business results.
  • Partner with service team members and internal network to ensure customer satisfaction from quotation to execution, acting as the key interface between the customer and Voith to align expectations, guide performance, and embed the customer perspective in all opportunity and project activities.
  • Responsible for achieving financial target KPIs and ensuring profitability of the service hub, including cost control, invoicing, and collection of payments.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and organizational development, supporting annual sales planning, developing winning proposals, and shaping the long-term growth of the service business.
  • Represent Voith as the primary regional contact for service delivery, acting as the face of HyService during customer interactions and warranty follow-ups, and maintaining strong customer relationships.

Profile Required:

  • University degree in Engineering or Business Administration, or a comparable qualification; experience in the energy or hydropower industry is considered a strong asset.
  • 5–10 years of professional experience in service sales, service management, or business development within an OEM or industrial service environment.
  • Proven track record in driving service business performance, managing regional pipelines, and achieving financial targets related to orders received, growth, and profitability.
  • Strong service mindset with a customer-centric, entrepreneurial working style and the ability to act confidently as the main interface between customers and internal functions.
  • Solid project management experience and strong technical understanding of hydro turbines, generators, and balance-of-plant equipment are considered beneficial.
  • Business-fluent English with excellent communication, negotiation, contract-closing, and stakeholder management skills; proficiency in MS Office is required, experience with Salesforce and SAP is an asset, and willingness to travel up to approx. 40% is required.
  • SalesForce and SAP experience are an asset.
