Hours & Roster Details:

  • Employment Type:Fixed Term Full Time
  • End date: 29/10/2026
  • Hours: Average 32 hours per week or 192 hours over 6 weeks roster period
  • Shift Time: 11pm – 7am
  • Roster Pattern: 4 days on, 2 days off (6-weekly rotating roster across Monday - Sunday)

The purpose of this job

Located in Whitby, Porirua, close to the Pauatahanui Inlet, Bupa Whitby Care Home offers Rest Home, Hospital, Dementia, and Specialist Dementia (Psychogeriatric) Care.

As a Caregiver, you’ll work alongside a supportive team to:

  • Assist with mobility in line with individual care plans
  • Maintain accurate and timely care documentation
  • Encourage residents to engage in social activities and community life
  • Help create a warm, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and your teammates

What you’ll need to make it possible

  • Hold a Level 0-4 Caregiving qualification
  • Bring proven experience in aged care or a comparable healthcare environment
  • Exhibit genuine passion for supporting the elderly
  • Possess confident communication and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Computer literacy across MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Hold legal entitlement to work in New Zealand
