Senior Finance Consultant (Contract)
- CoreFactor
- Mississauga, Canada
- C$93,600 – C$135,200
CoreFactor is searching for a Senior Financial Consultant on a contract basis for a client in the GTA.
This role is hybrid and will require the successful incumbent to be in the office four (4) days per week.
Our client is replacing its Zoho ERP with NetSuite, with go-live around the corner. To reach that date safely, the business will run both systems in parallel through October: finance will transact in NetSuite during the parallel phase and will reconcile it against Zoho continuously until Zoho is switched off at the hard cutover date.
Our client is adding contract capacity to carry the additional finance workload this transition creates — dual data entry, daily and weekly reconciliation, master-data cleansing, and month-end close performed in two systems at once — so that the permanent finance team can keep the business running. This is a hands-on delivery role at the centre of a high-visibility project, working directly with the finance leadership, the program manager, and the NetSuite vendor team.
The Role:
- Dual-system operation: post and reconcile transactions across GL, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and bank in both Zoho and NetSuite during the October parallel run.
- Reconciliation: perform the daily reconciliation of bank, AR, AP, and inventory movements between the two systems; log, own, and clear differences rather than carrying them forward.
- Reporting: help prepare the weekly reconciliation pack — control totals, ageing, item counts, and tax — driving the trend toward zero unexplained differences.
- Data migration support: cleanse and validate customer, vendor, item, and chart-of-accounts data ahead of migration, and support the trial and production data loads and their reconciliation back to Zoho.
- Canadian tax: support monthly HST/GST filing across multiple provinces (sales and purchase side), and help validate the NetSuite tax configuration against live filing positions.
- Month-end close: help perform the October close in both systems and reconcile line-for-line — balances, AR/AP ageing, inventory valuation, and HST — as the core evidence for the hard-cutover decision.
- Intercompany & consolidation: assist with intercompany transactions between the two entities and top-level consolidation.
- Go-live support: provide floor support and issue triage during hypercare as the business stabilises on NetSuite as its sole system of record.
Requirements
- A professional accounting designation (CPA) or equivalent, or an accounting/finance qualification with strong relevant experience.
- Core accounting: solid full-cycle accounting experience — GL, AR, AP, bank reconciliation, and month-end close.
- Canadian tax: comfort with Canadian indirect tax, in particular multi-province GST/HST on both the sales and purchase side.
- Reconciliation discipline: strong reconciliation skills and the discipline to work accurately across two systems under a tight, fixed deadline.
- Systems: confident spreadsheet skills (pivot tables, lookups, large-volume data handling).
- Communication: clear written and verbal communication, comfortable logging issues precisely and coordinating with vendors and functional leads.
Ideal / preferred
- NetSuite: hands-on experience with NetSuite is highly desirable.
- ERP transitions: prior experience of an ERP implementation, migration, or a system-parallel run — especially a Zoho-to-NetSuite or comparable transition.
- Multi-entity: experience operating across two entities, with intercompany and consolidation.
- Industry: experience in a manufacturing or operations-driven business, including inventory and work-order accounting.
