Helping establish a soil monitoring scheme to harmonize monitoring activities at European scale
Setting up equipment at the Swiss monitoring site and collecting wind, water erosion and tillage erosion data
Collecting information from the local stakeholders based on surveys and workshops to support the measurements
Analysing the Swiss data and modelling soil erosion at catchment scale
Collecting data from all European monitoring sites, controlling quality, analysing statistics and writing publications
Using standardized methods to ensure up-to-date and accurate data matching modelers' needs and validating the selected indicators
A university degree (master's or PhD) in agronomy or a related subject
Very good knowledge of agricultural science and soil science
Experience in monitoring and modelling soil erosion, data analysis and programming languages (e.g. R, Python)
High level of motivation, ability to work independently, resilience and strong interpersonal and communication skills
Native speaker of German or French with a good knowledge of the other language; very good command of English
