Petrochemicals: Adani Group is making significant strides in the petrochemical landscape with the establishment of its inaugural petrochemical complex, named Green PVC. This initiative aligns with our broader strategy in the petrochemicals, oil & gas, and downstream sectors.The Petrochemicals Business Unit is spearheading the Green PVC project, which entails a substantial investment of INR 26,000 crore. This investment is focused on integrating the acetylene route to facilitate sustainable polyvinyl chloride (PVC) manufacturing. Currently in the execution phase, the project is on track to deliver its first product by June 2026.

Job Purpose: The PIM Engineering Information Team Member is responsible for managing the digital execution of engineering projects by configuring and deploying information systems according to the finalized architecture. This role ensures seamless integration of various engineering authoring tools and downstream applications, maintaining data integrity, and facilitating the handover of project data to Operations and Maintenance (O&M) at the final stage. The incumbent coordinates with EPCM and vendors, aligns processes across functions, and supports project execution in EPC mode for specific projects.

PIM Engineering Information Team Member-PETCHEM

Digital Strategy & Transformation:

Ensure successful deployment of engineering systems by configuring and implementing applications as per the defined architecture.

Optimize digital execution processes by evaluating new tools, patches, and hotfixes before deployment, ensuring they meet project requirements.

Information Architecture & Governance:

Develop and configure project setups for authoring tools such as SmartPlant 3D, PID, Instrumentation, Electrical, and Foundation to maintain data consistency and compliance.

Implement standards and specifications to ensure seamless data management throughout project execution and adherence to project deliverables.

Systems Development & Automation:

Configure and deploy engineering systems based on finalized architecture, ensuring alignment with project execution requirements and optimizing system performance.

Develop catalogues, libraries, and custom commands according to discipline specifications and standard drawings, enhancing system functionality and data management.

Project Planning & Coordination:

Facilitate project execution by coordinating with EPCM and vendors to align with the project execution philosophy and ensuring effective integration of engineering systems.

Support engineering disciplines by managing Material Take-Off (MTO) systems, coordinating material control activities, and validating data and deliverables against specifications.

Compliance, Quality & Safety Management:

Ensure data integrity and compliance by adhering to project standards and specifications, and addressing technical queries through bi-weekly meetings and regular updates.

Validate systems and deliverables to ensure they meet the initially developed specifications and quality requirements.

Budget & Cost Control:

Support cost management by providing accurate estimates for licensing, hardware, and software requirements, and resolving technical queries efficiently to avoid project delays.

Vendor & Partnership Management:

Coordinate with vendors to ensure alignment with project execution philosophies and requirements, and facilitate integration of vendor-provided tools and solutions.

Data Management & Integration:

Manage data integration by coordinating with various engineering disciplines and ensuring the successful integration of downstream tools such as SPF, Spoolgen, and Tekla during project execution.

Develop and maintain data management systems, including validation and catalogue development, to support project requirements.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement:

Identify and address execution gaps by recommending process optimizations and supporting the implementation of improved practices and tools.

Educational Qualification:

Bachelor’s or Post Graduate degree in Engineering.

Work Experience (Range of years):

15+ years of experience managing multi-EPCM environments and mega project execution.

Experience in integrated environments involving E P & C applications.

Background in Oil and Gas, Chemical, or Petrochemical industries.

Proven experience in project execution and work processes across all disciplines, along with understanding their requirements during project execution.
