1.Strategic Sourcing & Procurement
- •Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for WTG components such as castings, forgings, fabricated assemblies, electrical systems, and BoP items.
- •Drive sourcing decisions based on cost, capability, lead time, and quality parameters.
- •Support localisation strategies in alignment with business goals and government policies.
2. Techno-Commercial Evaluation
- •Conduct technical and commercial analysis of RFQs, proposals, and supplier quotations.
- •Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to define specifications and ensure technical compliance.
- •Recommend optimal sourcing and negotiation strategies based on cost breakdowns, manufacturing processes, and market intelligence.
3. Negotiation & Contract Management
- •Lead commercial negotiations for pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contract conditions.
- •Prepare and manage long-term agreements (LTA), rate contracts, and purchase orders.
- •Mitigate procurement risks through robust contract terms and performance monitoring.
4. Supplier Management
- •Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to enhance performance, innovation, and reliability.
- •Drive supplier audits, performance reviews, and capability assessments.
- •Resolve supply chain bottlenecks, quality issues, and delivery challenges in coordination with cross-functional teams.
5. Cost Management & Optimization
- •Conduct cost analysis, benchmarking, and value engineering exercises.
- •Track market trends, commodity pricing, and procurement KPIs to support decision-making.
- •Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or timelines.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration
•Work closely with engineering, planning, logistics, finance, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
•Support new product development and prototype builds through effective vendor coordination.
•Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Production Engineering (mandatory).
•MBA in Supply Chain / Operations (preferred).
•7–12 years of experience in techno-commercial procurement, preferably in wind, heavy engineering, or renewable energy manufacturing.
•Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes: casting, forging, machining, fabrication, and assembly.
•Proven expertise in SAP/MM, sourcing tools, and procurement workflows.
