We are currently seeking a Piping Stress Analysis Engineer Junior, reporting directly to Piping Stress Analysis Section Head, to join our Engineering team based in Italy, Rome Operating Center.
About the role:
You will work inside the Piping Stress Analysis Section that is in charge of the development of the plant design for Proposals, Basic Engineering Design up to Detail Engineering Design.
Key interaction of Piping Stress Analysis Engineer are internally with Project teams, Process Department, Construction Department and others engineering disciplines; externally with Clients (technical specialists) and Engineering Service Suppliers.
The role and responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Work under close supervision of more senior specialist engineers;
- review the Client’s technical documentation and requirements;
- Review and validation of technical documentation submitted by suppliers, joint venture partners, and third-party organizations;
- issue project’s piping stress and supports specifications and standards;
- Development of detailed engineering of stress calculation and support design in accordance with contractual requirements, international standards, corporate standards and best practice;
- Assist in the development of project stress analysis deliverables;
- prepare piping loads on pipe racks, structures, sleeper ways etc;
- prepare piping supports material take off;
- prepare itemized piping supports and expansion joints material requisition and technical bids evaluation;
- prepare piping expansion joints material requisition and technical bids evaluation;
- interface with specialist from other disciplines as Civil, Equipment and, Process, etc., and support project functions such as planning and cost control.
You will have the opportunity to do business trips to attend to technical meetings with Clients or Engineering Service Suppliers, move to other Technip Energies operating centers and join our colleagues overseas. You will also have the opportunity to follow up engineering activities directly on our sites, supporting construction activities.

- Qualifications: Mechanical Engineering Master’s Degree;
- Professional experience: from 0 to 2 years;
- Languages: fluency in professional English;
- Main Skills:
- attitude to problem solving;
- attitude to perform the work in team, in an international and multi-cultural environment;
- capability to complete tasks on time with the required Company quality level;
- open mind with respect to new energy sources and digital solutions;
- availability to international mobility for either short- or long-term assignment;
- knowledge of design programs, such as Caesar II, AutoCad, 3D modeling software;
- good knowledge of the full Microsoft Office Package.
Compensation – Contractual level “Apprendistato”:
- Annual gross salary: € 36.724,51, with progression in accordance with the current Law and applicable Company policies.
- Position as “Apprendista” classified under the relevant Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL Metalmeccanico).
- Eligibility for an annual performance bonus in line with company policy.
