Intern - Technical

Based at Femography, Dehiwala

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing prototype samples by defining and evaluating bonding processes, adhesives, machines, and testing parameters.
• Conduct testing and analysis to verify the suitability of materials, adhesives, equipment, and methods for specific applications.
• Support interactions with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders to facilitate product development activities.
• Assist in implementing bonding and ultrasonic development standards for trial, test, and bulk production.
• Evaluate production feasibility and workability of bonding and ultrasonic technologies, ensuring successful implementation.
• Participate in research on new technologies, materials, machinery, and processes to improve quality, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, presentations, drawings, and analysis related to development projects.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Undergraduate pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Textile Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, product development, and engineering principles.
• Interest in research, testing, process development, and emerging technologies.
• Ability to analyze data, interpret test results, and provide practical recommendations.
• Good problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn in a dynamic R and D environment.
