Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting for a Pūkenga - Lecturer or Pūkenga Matua - Senior Lecturer in Nursing to join Te Puna Hauora - School of Health in the Master of Nursing Practice programme (Graduate Entry to Practice) on a permanent, full-time basis.

The role is located in Wellington on our Kelburn campus.

Working collaboratively with colleagues, students, health-sector partners, and communities, you will:

• Design and deliver academically rigorous, engaging, and inclusive nursing education.
• Contribute to course coordination, assessment, curriculum review, and the continuing development of the Master of Nursing Practice programme.
• Use contemporary teaching approaches, including appropriate learning technologies, simulation, and other innovations.

You will bring clinical credibility, curiosity, and a commitment to student success. You will be comfortable working with people from a wide range of backgrounds and will contribute to a collegial environment in which different perspectives, knowledge systems, and experiences are respected.

Key requirements:

• New Zealand Registered Nurse with a current APC.
• Completed master’s or doctoral degree in a relevant area.
• Relevant tertiary teaching experience.
