Building Services Coordinator

Are you an organised people-person who enjoys variety, keeping things running smoothly, and being the go-to person for support?

We're looking for a Building Services Coordinator to join our team at Somme Defence Centre in Trentham. This is a unique opportunity to combine office administration, customer service, facilities coordination and stakeholder support in a role that sits at the heart of a busy Defence site.

As the first point of contact for many visitors, staff and contractors, you'll play a key role in creating a professional, welcoming and well-organised environment while supporting the day-to-day operation of the site.

What You’ll Be Doing | Ngā Kawenga Takohanga
You'll provide essential administrative and coordination support across the site, including:
• Reception and visitor management
• Meeting room bookings and set-ups
• Managing building access cards and car park allocations
• Mail, courier and package coordination
• Ordering office supplies, tea, coffee and workplace amenities
• Maintaining locker registers and shared facility records
• Supporting contractors and service providers onsite
• Logging maintenance requests and following up issues
• Delivering building inductions and access administration
• Supporting health, safety and emergency preparedness activities
• Responding to day-to-day building and workplace queries from staff and visitors

• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Confident working in a busy, customer-facing environment

• Experienced in administration, coordination, reception or office support roles
