The Department of Community Health Sciences (CHS) is the leading unit of its type in Pakistan, recognized regionally and internationally for the relevance, quality, and extent of its work in support of public health and the development of primary health care systems. It comprises of five major operational sections: Epidemiology & biostatistics, Health policy & management, Population & reproductive health, Environmental health & climate change, and non-communicable diseases & mental health.

This is a grant funded contractual position.

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible to:

• house to house visit in Polygon area and plan, coordinate and implement project activities

• work in close coordination with front line staff like vaccinators and CBVs to map local influencers for vaccination and (Especially Women Influencers)

• identify number of community engagement venues and activities to facilitate in identifying pop-in

• clinics/influencer house/ bethke/ dera for community engagement session

• timely submission of quality social profile and reports and create social profile of the area and to update daily activity reports

• facilitation and support for digital communication through android phones, social media and internet, by

  creating number of digital awareness messages/post and community interaction activities

• organize community events for immunization awareness and recognition of households receiving immunization

• build capacity of community for interpersonal communication to increase in participation/referrals within project period any other task assigned by the supervisor

Requirements:

You should have:

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, or a degree in Nursing (BSN) or a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification
• at least two years of experience in the same field, specifically in EPI or PEI
• experience in training teams in evaluation and interventions
• willingness for frequent travel to remote locations for overseeing quality assurance of departmental research projects and training of local staff
• highly organized and self-motivated capabilities to execute the tasks
• excellent interpersonal communication skills
• proven mixed methods of research skills with good knowledge on research methodologies
• ability to work in a collaborative environment
• knowledge and integrity on research ethical standards
• excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• strong computer skills
