Responsibilities
· Liaise with and provide assistance to the RSAF EW Directorate point of contact to assess, prioritise, escalate and ensure management and delivery of the Ground EW Training courses as per the Semi-Annual Plan (SAP).
· Deliver Ground EW Training including the current EW Officer course, EW Initial lecture package, EW Refresher and Current Operations lectures.
· Supplement the delivery of Ground EW Training with the use of simulations such as Modern Air Combat Environment (MACE) and Augmented Reality Mission Observation & Rehearsal (ARMOR).
· Provide ad hoc briefings on EW to the RSAF and/or the Electronic Warfare Directorate (EWD) nominated individuals.
· Maintain a suitable standard of knowledge of developments in the fields related to the post, including to provide out of Base courses when requested by RSAF.
· Provide specialist and professional advice on the best practice in the training methodologies, technologies and tools.
· Identify and work to achieve meaningful and practical objectives in the course of duties that reflect and satisfy the overall needs of the section and wider business.
· Two-way communication through sharing of information as appropriate and listening to other parties’ views and expectations.
· Support, co-operate with, and work with others in order to achieve common goals and objectives
· Adopt a flexible and creative approach to problem solving, applying this to achieve practical solutions in the course of duties, adopt a pro-active and flexible approach to duties of the role and the needs of the wider business.
· Undertake all mandatory and developmental training as deemed appropriate.
· Subscribe to and actively participate in the development and issuance of formal reports.
Job Requirements:
Essential
· The EW Senior Training lnstructor must have at least 5 years’ EW experience and a broad, up to date knowledge of EW and its related technology. The jobholder must be highly experienced in the practical application of one or more of the following roles:
· Signals lntelligence and database operation.
· Procurement - operational requirements, trials and training.
· Engineering - radar/electro-optics/EW.
· Fighter controlling (GCI/AWACS).
· Application of active jamming.
· Suppression of enemy air defences.
· EW ground/air training.
· He must be experienced in the structure of training systems and be qualified in instructional techniques, preferably from a recognised school. He must have at least 2 years experience of classroom, synthetic or airborne/flying instruction.
· Minimum English Language ability to IELTS score 5.5, or equivalent.
Desirable
· Minimum 5 years’ RSAF operational experience as aircrew on multi-engine, fast jet, or rotary wing platforms with an EW capability.
· Have a working knowledge and experience of EW in the airborne environment.
· Have quality, working relationships with the RSAF.
· IT literate and able to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels.
· Experience and knowledge of RSAF practices and procedures.
· Good knowledge of training methodologies, analysis, design and instruction.
· Be a self-starter and able to operate without supervision.
