Supervisor (Sputter Source)

About our group:

TheSputter Offline Maintenance Group is a cross-functional team comprising Supervisors (Sups), Engineering Specialists (ESes), and Manufacturing Specialists (MSes) who perform a wide range of critical maintenance and operational support activities.

Our responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Rebuilding and refurbishing critical sputter assemblies
  • Repairing and servicing key components in collaboration with external suppliers
  • Providing logistics and inventory support, including spare parts management and procurement
  • Conducting data analysis, troubleshooting, and root cause investigations for equipment or process abnormalities
  • Driving cost reduction, reliability improvement, and continuous improvement initiatives

The primary objective of the Offline Maintenance Group is to ensure uninterrupted production by minimizing downtime and mitigating risks associated with assembly disconnections, equipment failures, and parts shortages. Through proactive maintenance, technical expertise, and effective resource management, the team plays a vital role in sustaining manufacturing operations and supporting business continuity.

About the role - you will:

• Be responsible for leading a team of technicians and Manufacturing Specialists to fulfill respective area job scopes according to established requirements.
• Be responsible for inventory management for all the consumables/spares used in all sub-assemblies.
• Be responsible of maintaining data accuracy of all tracking systems developed for all offline sub-assembly’s services.
• Manage employee trainings in workplace including identifying training needs, plan the training, and keep the record.
• Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the compliance of Seagate EHS policies and procedures.
• Work with HR/EHS on administrative and people management matters.

About you:

• Diploma or higher, in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic Engineering, or related Engineering Diploma or ITE.
• Min 3 years or more technical experience in media manufacturing/thin film/vacuum in maintenance or engineering capacity.
• Team player with good problem-solving and management skill
• Familiar with Microsoft Office and computer programs

Your experience includes:

• Experience in leading a team to work as a team and maximizing individual performance
• Experience in handling project works including working with different functional groups to set project goals, timelines, tracking and closures.
• Good logic thinking mind and able to perform data analysis.
