The Division of Elections for the State of Alaska is looking for an Administrative Assistant 1 in Anchorage!
What you will be doing:
The Division of Elections is seeking a highly organized and dependable individual to join our Region 2 Elections office in Anchorage. This position provides essential administrative and operational support to the regional office and works closely with election staff, temporary employees, and the public. The Administrative Assistant 1 will assist with the day-to-day operation of the regional office, including organizing and maintaining office supplies and materials, supporting administrative processes, coordinating office needs, and providing customer service to voters and the public. This position will also assist with training and supporting lower-level and temporary employees to ensure work is completed accurately, efficiently, and consistently. During election periods, this position plays an important role in supporting the increased workload associated with conducting statewide elections. Duties may include assisting with voter registration and election-related administrative activities, maintaining accurate records, responding to inquiries from the public, and helping ensure the office is prepared to meet critical election deadlines. The successful applicant will be expected to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, manage competing priorities, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly.

The Region 2 Elections office provides essential election services to Alaskans in the Anchorage area. Examples of duties
Six months of advanced clerical experience. This experience includes work such as Office Assistant 2, Accounting Clerk, and similar classes with the State of Alaska or the equivalent with another employer.
OR
Six months of any combination of post-secondary education, vocational education, and/or advanced-level clerical experience. Three semester or four quarter hours of post-secondary education are equal to one month of experience; 150 hours of vocational education are equal to one month of experience.
