Lead Technician

TEK is looking for technicians to help on the construction of a new building next to the existing one in Bridgeport Alabama.

They are looking for specifically OSP technicians who are familiar with outside work not inside the data center.

Oversee installation and maintenance of OSP fiber systems including:

Conduit, innerduct, handholes, and vaults, Aerial and underground fiber (as applicable)

Coordinate splicing, testing, and documentation for OSP routes.

Interface with customers, carriers, and construction partners during OSP activities.

Enforce safety policies, including PPE, ladder use, and confined-space awareness.

Perform quality inspections and correct deficiencies.

Documentation & Coordination

Maintain accurate as-built documentation, labeling schemes, and test results.

Participate in walk-throughs, closeouts, and turnover meetings.

Collaborate with project managers, network engineers, data center operations, and customers.

Support Moves, Adds, and Changes (MACs) in live production environments.

Physical & Work Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, and elevated cable trays.

Ability to work in large-scale data centers, including raised floor and overhead environments.

Willingness to work nights, weekends, or after-hours maintenance windows as required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Bridgeport, AL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
