Trauma-Informed and Equitable Evaluation Intern

This internship will primarily focus on supporting DSG and CBTI’s evaluation and community engagement efforts. The intern will assist with collecting and organizing information that helps the team understand the impact of trainings, community initiatives, and funded projects. The internship project may include: Assisting with the collection and organization of data from surveys, trainings, focus groups, and community meetings; Supporting the review, summarization, and analysis of participant feedback from trainings and events.; Assisting with pre- and post-survey administration and data analysis; Supporting tracking of project activities, outcomes, and reporting requirements for DSG-funded initiatives.; Helping prepare summaries, presentations, and reports that communicate key findings and lessons learned.; Participating in DSG and CBTI team meetings, trainings, and community convenings to better understand public health approaches to violence prevention. INTERNSHIP LEARNING OUTCOMES: Upon completion of this internship, learning outcomes include: an increased understanding of the role of workforce development and organizational change as a violence prevention strategy; an increased understanding of and the ability to apply public health program evaluation methods for real-world violence prevention activities (i.e., increased knowledge of the data evaluation process); an increased understanding of strategies to promote trauma-informed and equitable evaluation, including participatory, collaborative work with stakeholders gained experience in creating and conducting evaluation with Boston city providers related to the topic of trauma-informed practice changes
