Logistics Sourcing Bid Coordinator

The Logistics Sourcing Bid Coordinator is a highly specialized role that provides analytical and technical support for FTM logistics sourcing bid services. Using bid software, Microsoft Office tools, transportation management systems, and reporting platforms, the coordinator delivers strategic sourcing analysis across internal customer networks and external consulting engagements. This role is a key contributor to customer communication and applies industry knowledge and project management skills to deliver optimal supply chain solutions.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in supply chain bid software and logistics spend analysis for sourcing events.
  • Develop historic spend baselines and create complex, strategic sourcing scenarios.
  • Present direction, data, and recommended solutions to customers through effective project management execution.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify optimal solutions considering cost, service, and capacity.
  • Collect and apply logistics market rate benchmarking and analysis for customer needs.
  • Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required.
  • Deliver technical user support and training to bid participants throughout sourcing events.
  • Translate historic freight spend data into customer network summaries and assess sourcing impact.
  • Recommend and influence enhancements to bid software providers.
  • Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Education / Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting, Math, or Supply Chain required.
  • 2--5 years of experience in sourcing, transportation, logistics, or supply chain required.
  • Experience with sourcing tools and associated analytical processes preferred.
