What You'll Do
As a Global Investment Solutions Co-op, you will contribute to real projects that support how LMI manages technology, data, products, operations, and strategic initiatives.
You will work alongside professionals across investments, operations, product management, data, and technology while gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
As a co-op, you'll be aligned to one of the following Global Investment Solutions teams:
- Financial Products – Automation & Productivity: Support initiatives that improve how employees work and how operational information is used across LMI. Work may include enhancing dashboards, improving employee lifecycle processes, and partnering with stakeholders to identify and document automation opportunities.
- Data & Analytics Governance: Work on more technical data and AI-focused initiatives involving data quality, governance, dashboards, and AI-enabled data access. Experience or coursework in areas such as SQL, Python or scripting, APIs, cloud data platforms, data visualization, or data governance is helpful.
- Investment Products: Work at the intersection of business, technology, and product management by supporting product ownership, requirements development, and Agile delivery. Familiarity with Agile methodologies, software development lifecycles, systems thinking, or technology-enabled product development is helpful.
- Operational Strategy & Delivery: Gain exposure to the operational processes that support LMI’s investment activity across areas such as trade operations, accounting, treasury, loans, and other investment functions. Work may include documenting processes, building centralized knowledge resources, identifying gaps, and supporting process improvement initiatives.
- Strategy & Execution: Support transformation and program-management initiatives that help LMI teams implement strategic priorities and new ways of working. Work may include process improvement, stakeholder communications, program reporting, change adoption, and the development of playbooks, process maps, and other materials.
Qualifications
What You've Got
- You must be able to work full-time from January – June 2027.
- You have 0–2 years of professional experience.
- You must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future. We will not sponsor employment visas. Candidates who will require future sponsorship, including candidates on CPT/OPT/STEM OPT who will require future sponsorship, are not eligible to apply.
- You're an undergraduate student working toward a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Communications, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field with a strong academic record; cumulative 3.0 GPA preferred.
- Experience or interest in areas such as data analysis, automation, process improvement, product management, investments, or financial operations is a plus.
- You have an interest in finance, investments, data, technology, operations, or related areas.
- You are curious, eager to learn, and comfortable taking on new challenges.
- You possess strong written and verbal communication skills and work effectively with others.
- You are organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across multiple priorities.
- You are comfortable using technology and interested in applying AI and other emerging tools in a professional environment.
- You have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
