- Manage all hatchery operations, ensuring chick quality, production and delivery.
- Plan production, and manage spending and capital improvement projects.
- Control labor cost, and manage maintenance, supply spend, and vaccination program.
- All other relevant duties to the job.
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Animal, Poultry Science or other related field of study preferred
- 3+ years poultry hatchery experience within a leadership role preferred.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements surrounding animal welfare.
- Excellent technology, computer and math skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Physical Requirements
- Typical office environment within a hatchery utilizing computers, telephones and other office equipment.
- Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
- Subject to dusty and hot environments.
- Exposure to noise (>85 decibels), CO2, and moving production lines.
- Frequently stand 8+ hours.
- Regularly exposed to heat conditions of 99.5 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Work around raw, live animal odors.
