Summary

The City of Aiken is seeking a Utilities Worker to join the Engineering & Utilities Department. This position performs ongoing service maintenance activities for the upkeep of the City's waste water utility infrastructure system.

Examples of duties

• Operates Jet Truck with sewer clean outs
• Repairs water and sewer lines
• Installs water and sewer lines
• Makes water and sewer taps
• Willing to work evenings and some weekends

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write, understand, and follow verbal instructions
• Must have a valid driver's license in good standing

Physical Requirements

• Exposure to outside elements
• Frequent stooping, kneeling, walking, and lifting
