What You Will Be Doing:
As a Senior Proposal Analyst, you will play a critical role in shaping the financial strategy for AMMM (C-130J, C-5, and P-3) development and sustainment programs. As the pricing subject matter expert, you will develop accurate, data-driven cost estimates and pricing proposals that directly support competitive contract pursuits, customer negotiations, and long-term program success. This highly collaborative role partners with engineering, supply chain, contracts, finance, and customer-facing teams to deliver pricing solutions that align with customer requirements, business objectives, and corporate compliance standards.

Develops, plans & schedules proposals in accordance with estimating policy,Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) & Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS) requirements, USG Bus. System Requirements & other govt. regulations. Shapes, develops & matures bus. case analyses & cost methods resulting in a comprehensive bid/price strategy. Develops initiatives to increase profitability & cashflow. Acts as the estimating lead on proposals compiling cost, schedule, & technical elements to development proposals in accordance with Request For Proposal (RFP) specs. Coordinates the collection of cost, scheduling, & performance elements from functional departments. Performs financial modeling & analyses related to major proposals, including rate studies & analysis, bus. case development, cash flow analysis, NPV & IRR & presents analyses & recommendations to leaders. Researches & analyzes historical data, develops cost models to support proposal efforts & determination of accuracy of functional estimates. Participates in should-cost & pricing reviews with mngmt & customer reps. Participates as a member of the contract negotiating team & interacts with DCAA /other audit agencies. Initiates process improvements to enhance productivity & efficiency within pricing & estimating functions. May provide day-to-day direction & guidance to less senior Proposal Analysts. Develops, communicates, & implements Estimating & Pricing policies/procedures, & conducts monitoring & surveillance activities to ensure that the policies/procedures are being thoroughly & consistently implemented. Possesses comprehensive written & oral communications skills to support proposal development activities, executive proposal reviews, fact-finding & negotiations, & interaction with DCAA/other audit agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, analyze, and deliver comprehensive cost estimates and pricing proposals for development and sustainment efforts across AMMM programs.

• Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Supply Chain, Contracts, Finance, and Program Management to gather inputs and build competitive pricing strategies.

• Prepare pricing packages and financial analyses that support proposal submissions, customer negotiations, and contract modifications.

• Ensure pricing methodologies are accurate, compliant, and aligned with customer requirements, government regulations, and company policies.

• Analyze historical data, cost trends, and program requirements to develop defensible cost estimates and identify financial risks and opportunities.

• Support long-range business planning by providing pricing recommendations and financial insights that influence strategic decision-making.

• Present pricing assumptions, cost analyses, and recommendations to program leadership and executive stakeholders.

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance proposal quality, pricing efficiency, and estimating processes.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or 5 years experience in the absence of a Bachelors Degree

• 3+ years of experience in a pricing / estimating related field

• Experience with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel spreadsheets.

• Familiarity or experience with FAR, Part 15 proposal requirements.

Desired Skills

• Estimating and/or Pricing Experience.

• Negotiations experience.

• Knowledge of the proposal process and familiar with Basis Of Estimates (BOEs).

• Current Secret clearance.

• PROPRICER experience.

• Excellent written, oral, and task coordination skills.

• Experience coordinating complex estimates with changing requirements and deadlines.

Pay Information

GeoZone Definition: GeoZones are geographic groupings created by Lockheed Martin to align compensation ranges with regional labor markets and cost-of-labor differences across the United States. Locations are assigned a Geo Zone based on the primary work location of the role.

• Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 1): $90600.00 - $168200.00
  • Includes metropolitan areas such as Sunnyvale CA; Pal Alto, CA; New York City metropolitan area; Newark, New Jersey; etc.
• Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 2): :$81500.00 - $151300.00
  • Includes metropolitan areas such as Denver, CO; King of Prussia, PA; Stratford, CT; Moorestown, NJ; etc.
• Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 3): :$72500.00 - $134600.00
  • Includes metropolitan areas such as Dallas–Fort Worth, TX; Orlando, FL; Grand Prairie, TX; Marietta, GA; etc.
• Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 4): :$65200.00 - $121200.00
  • Includes metropolitan areas such as Camden, AR; Lexington, KY; Ocala, FL; Lufkin, TX; etc.
