GET TO KNOW OUR AREA:
About Crop Science: Agriculture is at the heart of solving global challenges like climate change, limited natural resources, and a growing population. By combining modern science with farmers’ ingenuity, we deliver sustainable innovations that help farmers grow enough food while protecting the planet. At Bayer, we believe feeding the world and restoring the planet should go hand in hand.
About Business Enablement LATAM: We connect strategy, execution, and performance across the organization, helping turn our shared vision for Crop Science in Latin America into measurable business outcomes. From short-term priorities to long-term ambitions, we provide strategic steering that enables alignment, focus, and impact across the region.
Our main pillars are:
Business Steering – Partnering from a commercial perspective with an integrated view of product, markets, and countries strategies, supporting well-informed decisions and strategic alignment across the region.
Transformation – Embedding our new operating model, Dynamic Shared Ownership (DSO), and accelerating AI adoption to enable faster decision-making, greater collaboration, and more empowered teams, driving innovation and delivering greater value.
Chief of Staff – Supporting the Latin America leadership team by connecting functions around shared priorities, enabling alignment, and ensuring execution against common business outcomes.
YOUR MISSION:
As a strategic partner to the regional leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping priorities, driving alignment, and accelerating execution across the region.
Position Purpose: The role operates as a member of the Business Enablement team, focused on strengthening the effectiveness of the Latin America Leadership Team's strategic and business agenda, its collective performance, and its unified voice as the region's leadership, while providing direct support to the President of Crop Science Latin America. The role connects vision, ambition, priorities, perspectives, and decisions across the region's teams, helping a group of strong functional leaders operate as one aligned team: capturing what matters most, shaping it into a coherent and compelling regional narrative, and driving it forward to shared outcomes rather than isolated functional wins. Beyond alignment, the role is accountable for decisive progress, ensuring that the President and the leadership team have the right support to make timely, well-grounded decisions, that priorities advance with clear ownership and follow-through, and that regional ambition is consistently translated into concrete, measurable results.
Scope: Regional. While the formal scope is Crop Science LATAM, the position requires a strong connection with global and country-level contexts and teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Strategic & Business Agenda: Partner directly with the Business Enablement lead and CS Latam President to shape, prioritize, and steer the region's strategic and business agenda, translating vision and ambition into a focused set of outcomes, decisions, and trade-offs for Crop Science Latin America.
- Decision Support & Synthesis: Distill large volumes of complex, fragmented, or ambiguous information into the critical messages, implications, and decisions the President and Leadership Team need to act with speed and confidence.
- Governance & Operating Rhythm: Design and lead the governance model and operating rhythm for the Latin America Leadership Team, structuring meetings, decision forums, and follow-up mechanisms that convert discussions into clear ownership, accountability, and execution.
- Stakeholder & Systemic Leadership: Build trusted relationships across a senior, diverse leadership team; surface root causes behind stalled decisions or misalignment; and create the conditions for constructive debate and alignment without relying on formal authority.
- Regional Outcomes Ownership: Identify and champion the shared, cross-functional outcomes critical to Crop Science Latin America as a whole, embedding them in the regional agenda and tracking them to completion.
- Business Enablement Integration: Represent Business Enablement within the President's agenda, working in close partnership with the Business Steering and Transformation pillars to connect strategic direction with execution and performance management.
- Executive Communication & Storytelling: Develop and curate high-impact executive materials, narratives, and talking points for internal leadership forums and external/institutional engagements, elevating the President's and the region's voice, with the versatility to move between rigorous, analytical business communication and creative, audience-resonant storytelling for external and leadership-facing engagements.
- Leadership Agenda & Event Orchestration: Own the design and orchestration of the President's and Leadership Team's agenda — including leadership offsites, sales conventions, and senior forums — ensuring purposeful, well-structured, and high-value use of time.
- Cross-Functional Initiative Leadership: Lead and orchestrate high-priority, cross-functional initiatives and regional outcomes that lack a single functional owner, ensuring momentum, coordination, and delivery across the region's teams.
- AI-Driven Acceleration: Champion the adoption of AI-powered tools and ways of working across the leadership agenda and Business Enablement, using AI to accelerate synthesis, insight generation, and decision-making, and acting as a catalyst for AI adoption across the regional leadership team.
