Job Description
Position Summary /职位概述
Join our Sunshine Sputter Platform as a PLC / Automation & Controls Engineer. You will be responsible for the electrical architecture, PLC software development, and automation integration of advanced PVD and CVD vacuum coating equipment. Working with multidisciplinary engineering teams, you will support equipment development, factory deployment, and sustaining engineering across our manufacturing sites in Shenzhen and Penang.
Key Responsibilities /主要职责
- Develop and maintain Siemens PLC software for sequence control, interlocks, recipe management, alarm handling, and process automation.
- Design electrical schematics, I/O architecture, control cabinets, and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD Electrical.
- Integrate and commission turbomolecular pumps, vacuum gauges, RF power supplies, servo systems, temperature controllers, and other equipment subsystems.
- Support equipment startup, troubleshooting, process optimization, and sustaining engineering to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.
- Design low-voltage power distribution systems and select electrical components for control cabinets.
- Prepare and maintain electrical documentation including control specifications, electrical BOMs, wiring manuals, operating procedures, and engineering documentation.
- Collaborate with mechanical, process, manufacturing, and supplier teams to deliver integrated equipment solutions.
- Provide engineering support for manufacturing operations in Shenzhen, Penang, and other global production sites.
Qualifications
Education
- Master's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, Control Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in semiconductor, vacuum coating, or precision automation equipment.
- Experience in equipment development, controls engineering, commissioning, troubleshooting, and sustaining engineering.
Technical Skills
- Expert in Siemens PLC programming (S7-300, S7-400, S7-1500).
- Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical for electrical schematics, I/O design, cabinet layout, and wiring documentation.
- Strong experience integrating vacuum gauges, turbomolecular pump controllers, RF power supplies, servo drives, and temperature control systems.
- Solid understanding of industrial automation, motion control, fieldbus communication, and electrical safety standards.
- Experience with low-voltage power distribution design, control cabinet layout, and electrical component selection.
Language
- Professional English skills for technical documentation, engineering meetings, and collaboration with global engineering teams and suppliers.
