1. Finance and Procurement Transformation
- Drive the review and assessment of existing finance and procurement processes, policies, controls, and systems to identify improvement opportunities.
- Conduct gap analyses against industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and organizational objectives.
- Develop and execute transformation roadmaps to improve efficiency, effectiveness, controls, user experience, and data quality.
- Evaluate current technology landscape and identify opportunities for automation, digitalization, system enhancements, and process simplification.
- Prepare business cases and/or cost-benefit analyses for proposed transformation initiatives.
- Recommend target operating models, process redesigns, governance frameworks, and system solutions.
- Lead implementation of approved initiatives, including project planning, stakeholder management, change management, testing, training, and post-implementation reviews.
- Collaborate with finance, procurement, IT, operations, and business teams to ensure successful adoption of new processes and systems.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure transformation outcomes and benefits realization.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and foster a culture of operational excellence.
2. Strategic Investments and Corporate Finance
- Lead the financial evaluation of strategic investment, acquisition, divestment, and partnership opportunities.
- Develop, review, and challenge valuation analyses using appropriate methodologies, including Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), Precedent Transactions Analysis, Asset-based valuation approaches.
- Build and maintain detailed financial models to assess investment returns, funding requirements, sensitivities, and risks.
- Conduct financial, commercial, and strategic due diligence on potential investment or divestment opportunities.
- Prepare investment papers, financial analyses, and recommendations for management, board, parent company, and government stakeholders.
- Support negotiations relating to commercial terms, valuation, transaction structures, shareholder arrangements, and financing.
- Monitor portfolio investments and evaluate post-investment performance against approved business cases.
- Provide strategic financial insights to support corporate planning and growth initiatives.
3. CFO-Assigned Projects
- Lead and deliver any other projects or assignments as directed by the CFO.
- Provide project leadership, coordination, analysis, and recommendations to support the successful execution of key corporate initiatives.
- Manage cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure project objectives, timelines, and deliverables are achieved.
- Support the CFO in evaluating and prioritizing new project opportunities aligned with the organization's strategic objectives.
4. Stakeholder and Government Engagement
- Engage senior internal and external stakeholders to obtain alignment and support for key initiatives.
- Present recommendations, business cases, project updates, and investment proposals to senior management and governance committees.
- Manage external advisors, consultants, valuation experts, auditors, and legal counsel as required.
- Serve as the primary liaison (jointly with CFO) and coordinate submissions, approvals, and reporting requirements to the parent company and relevant ministries on investment matters.
5. Governance, Risk and Compliance
- Ensure assigned projects comply with corporate governance requirements, regulatory obligations, and internal policies.
- Identify and mitigate project, operational, financial, and implementation risks.
- Strengthen internal controls and governance frameworks across finance and procurement functions.
- Ensure transparency, accountability, and robustness in investment evaluation and decision-making processes.
The Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Finance/Accounting/Economics/Business; professional qualification preferred; MBA advantageous.
- More than 10 years in finance, corporate finance, investments, transformation, consulting, procurement, strategy or project leadership.
- Business transformation, process improvement, financial modelling & valuation, investment/M&A analysis, finance & procurement processes, ERP (SAP/Oracle).
- Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional projects and engage senior stakeholders, government agencies and large corporates.
- Strategic thinking, commercial acumen, business case development, benefits realisation, project/change management, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong stakeholder influence, communication/presentation, execution focus, integrity and professionalism.
