The Head, Process Excellence & Productivity, WRB is responsible for coordinating and delivering agreed process excellence and productivity priorities across WRB, supporting sustainable growth and the achievement of cost, risk and client outcome objectives.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead Process Excellence
Drive end-to-end process simplification, standardisation, and digitisation across WRB to enhance client experience, improve scalability, and support sustainable business growth. Embed Process Excellence as a core element of the WRB operating model through clear ownership and accountability with continuous client and colleague feedback.
• Deliver Productivity at Scale.
Coordinate delivery of WRB's agreed productivity priorities through simplification, standardisation and digitisation, supporting measurable improvements in cost efficiency, workforce productivity and organisational effectiveness.
• Manage the Business Efficiency Portfolio
Coordinate governance of the Business Efficiency portfolio under the WRB QPR, providing analysis and recommendations to support prioritisation, funding and resource allocation decisions within the agreed investment container.
• Support Performance & Value Realisatio n
Maintain process and productivity metrics, benefits tracking and executive reporting for the Business Efficiency portfolio. Coordinate the WRB workforce planning process with HR, Finance and business leaders, with accountabilities and decisions retained by the relevant executive owners.
• Build a Culture of Continuous Improvement
Institutionalise continuous improvement across WRB, developing the skills, capabilities, and mindset required to drive innovation, operational excellence, and sustainable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy
• Develop and deliver the WRB Process Excellence roadmap within the strategy, operating model and priorities agreed by the WRB COO and relevant governance forums.
• Act as a key delivery partner to the WRB COO and Management Team, translating agreed priorities into executable process excellence and productivity initiatives.
• Manage the Business Efficiency portfolio under the WRB QPR, ensuring alignment to strategic priorities, affordability and value creation.
• Partner with Group and enterprise transformation teams to accelerate process industrialisation, automation and standardisation.
• Leverage client feedback, operational data and market insights to identify opportunities for service improvement and innovation.
Business
• Lead WRB's productivity agenda, delivering sustainable improvements in cost efficiency, workforce productivity and organisational effectiveness.
• Identify, prioritise and scale productivity opportunities through automation, digitisation, AI adoption, workforce redesign and operating model optimisation.
• Ensure productivity benefits are measurable, sustainable and reflected in financial, workforce and business plans.

• Drive workforce productivity, capacity management, benchmarking and resource optimisation across WRB.
• Define and oversee benefits tracking, value capture and value realisation frameworks for transformation initiatives under the Business Efficiency portfolio.

Processes
• Drive end-to-end simplification, standardisation, optimisation and digitisation of client, operational and support processes across WRB.
• Lead process re-engineering, value stream management and operating model redesign to remove waste, reduce complexity, improve productivity and enhance client outcomes.
• Embed Lean, Continuous Improvement, Design Thinking and process management disciplines across WRB.
• Drive adoption of tools, platforms and practices that enhance process visibility, transparency and performance management.
People & Talent
• Build and lead a high-performing team of process excellence, productivity, workforce planning and portfolio management professionals.
• Develop organisational capability in Process Excellence, Lean, Six Sigma, AI, Design Thinking and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• Institutionalise a culture of continuous improvement, innovation and client-centric design across WRB.
• Promote a mindset where simplification, productivity and innovation are core organisational capabilities and responsibilities.
Risk Management
• Monitor BE portfolio performance, delivery risks, interdependencies and programme execution.
• Deliver regular executive reporting on productivity outcomes, and risks and delivery progress of initiatives under BE.
Governance
• Establish process ownership, governance, performance metrics and accountability across critical WRB value streams.
• Establish productivity targets, accountability frameworks and performance measures across businesses, functions and markets.
• Review business cases, funding requests, delivery plans and expected benefits, and provide recommendations on portfolio prioritisation and resource allocation to the WRB QPR and relevant decision owners.
• Provide transparent reporting and recommendations to the WRB COO and relevant governance forums, e.g., QPR on BE matters.
• Coordinate the WRB workforce planning process, partnering with HR, Finance and business leaders to consolidate demand and supply inputs and support recommendations for executive decision.
• Influence senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional programmes spanning businesses, functions and geographies where required.

Our Ideal Candidate
• 15+ years of experience within banking, financial services, consulting or transformation environments.
• Proven track record leading large-scale productivity, efficiency and operating model transformation programmes.
• Deep expertise in process excellence, portfolio governance, workforce optimisation and value realisation.
• Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated ability to deliver material financial and productivity outcomes.
• Experience managing complex, cross-functional portfolios and supporting investment governance within delegated authority.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking and executive communication capabilities.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead through complexity and change.
• Experience leveraging technology, automation, AI and digital capabilities to transform business performance.
