Day in the Life of a Business Operations Intern

We are looking for curious, adaptable, and self-driven individuals with a passion to innovate. Bring your experience and ideas to help us ensure the growth of our company by supporting the manufacturing and creation of our aircraft. No matter where you are in the company you are critical to the success of Bell. As a BTA Flight Operations Intern at Bell, you can expect to:

  • Interface with the pilot and maintenance staff to drive aircraft operational readiness for customer flight training events.
  • Modernize tool and inventory control systems to ensure compliant processes and safety procedures are fully implemented.
  • Organize and proactively plan work flows for scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with dispatching and Bell network sites to address urgent part needs and shortages.
  • Evaluate and recommend facility improvements, floor plans, and hangar design layouts for improved operations.
  • Evaluate new technologies, tools, and opportunities to improve team and process efficiency.

Qualifications

What You’ll Need:

  • Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher with a major in Aviation Management, Aviation Maintenance Management, Aviation Safety and Operations, Project Management or related degree required
  • Minimum 60 college credit hours completed by the start of the internship (June 1, 2027) or prior Bell internship experience.
  • Able to complete the entire 10 weeks of the internship: June 1– August 6, 2027
  • 3.0 minimum overall, undergraduate GPA strongly preferred

Preference will be given to candidates that are rising junior classification

What Will Make You Stand Out:

  • Prior aviation or mechanical maintenance experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, preferably Excel
  • Strong planning and organization skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Problem-solving ability
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to take initiative, ownership, and accountability
  • Ability to exercise sound decision making while working under pressure of deadlines and changing priorities
  • Comfort applying technology solutions in different context
