Your mission, roles and responsibilities

The Regional General Counsel & Compliance Officer – China serves as the senior legal and compliance executive for China and is a key member of the executive leadership team.

Legal Leadership

• Serve as the lead legal advisor to the China leadership team.
• Provide legal support for commercial operations, contracts, corporate governance, and strategic projects, including M&A and restructuring.
• Manage enterprise legal risks and develop practical legal solutions that support business growth.

Compliance & Ethics Leadership

• Act as China Chief Compliance Officer and lead the compliance and ethics program.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and corporate policies.
• Oversee investigations, whistleblower processes, compliance training, and ethics culture initiatives.

Litigation & Risk Management

• Lead all litigation, arbitration, and regulatory matters in China.
• Manage external counsel and legal budgets.
• Partner with business leaders to identify, assess, and mitigate legal and operational risks.

Your profile and competencies to succeed

• Automotive, mobility, industrial manufacturing, or Tier 1 supplier experience.
• Experience supporting corporate separations, carve-outs, spin-offs, divestitures, or stand-alone company launches.
• Experience serving as General Counsel, Deputy General Counsel, Associate General Counsel, or Chief Compliance Officer.
• Fluency in English.
