The incumbent is responsible for supporting the day-to-day management of warehouse operations while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through effective order management, inventory control, and service excellence. The role oversees warehouse processes, supervises operational and customer service teams, ensures compliance with safety and quality standards, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to achieve operational and service excellence.
Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
- Assist in managing daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and outbound shipments.
- Ensure all warehouse operations are executed in accordance with prevailing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Monitor operational performance and productivity to meet customer and company’s objectives.
- Coordinate manpower planning, shift scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Ensure inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and stock reconciliation.
- Maintain compliance with local regulations, customs requirements, and safety standards
- Manage client expectations, service performance, and issue resolution
- Conduct regular service review meetings with customers
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Support implementation of warehouse process improvements and Lean initiatives.
- Support in warehouse audits including ISO documentations
Customer Services
- Lead the customer service team in managing customer orders and enquiries.
- Act as the primary escalation point for customer operational issues.
- Monitor order fulfilment performance and ensure timely processing of customer requests.
- Coordinate with transport, procurement, planning, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth order execution.
- Prepare operational reports, KPI summaries, and business reviews for customers and management.
- Support implementation of new customer accounts and operational changes.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of warehouse operations and customer service experience, preferably in a 3PL and Contract Logistics background.
- Proven experience in managing teams and multiple clients
- Strong knowledge of WMS and inventory management systems
- Familiar with Singapore customs regulations and bonded warehouse operations (preferred)
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
