We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our DLJBS team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting the Valuation and Risk Advisory (VRA) Services across various property types. You will be responsible for leading a small team in executing valuation processes, ensuring compliance with professional standards, and leveraging technology to enhance efficiency. This position offers a unique opportunity to work alongside qualified professionals (MHKIS, MRICS, CFA, CPA) and contribute to high-quality consultancy deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
1. Valuation Execution & Report Preparation
- Lead and participate in the end-to-end valuation process, including information gathering, market research, financial modeling, and report production.
- Prepare comprehensive valuation and consultancy reports in strict compliance with professional standards (e.g., RICS, HKIS) and internal guidelines.
- Ensure all working papers, data entries, and supporting documentation are accurate, complete, and well-organized.
2. Team Leadership & Quality Control
- Supervise and guide a team of approximately 10 members, assigning tasks and monitoring progress to ensure timely delivery.
- Conduct thorough reviews of team members’ work products (working papers, drafts, and data analysis) to ensure accuracy and adherence to quality standards.
- Provide mentorship and on-the-job training to junior staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
3. Process Improvement & Knowledge Management
- Maintain and update the internal knowledge base, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), learning materials, and best practice guides.
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance team productivity through process optimization.
- Leverage advanced tools (Excel, VBA, Python, AI, etc.) to automate repetitive tasks and improve data analysis efficiency.
4. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of qualified professionals (MHKIS, MRICS, CFA, CPA) to deliver exceptional service to clients.
- Assist in delivering accurate, high-quality valuation assignments within agreed timelines.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Manager to support broader business objectives.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Real Estate Economics, Asset Valuation, Economics, Accounting, Auditing, or related fields.
- Strong capability in financial modeling and complex data analysis.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data, trends, and financial statements accurately.
- Confident and self-motivated, with the ability to multitask and perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Language & Other Requirements
- Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
- Cantonese proficiency is a plus.
- Experience with VBA, Python, AI tools, data scraping, or information management systems is a significant advantage.
- Willingness to travel as required by project needs.
- A keen interest in valuation and a strong desire to grow within the industry.
