IT Director Asia

• Direct IT performance across Asia in alignment with Hutchinson’s global IT strategy and regional business objectives.
• Act as a strategic business partner to regional leadership teams, translating business needs into practical digital and technology roadmaps.
• Collaborate with regional and Business Unit leaders to identify technology needs and propose effective solutions supporting business growth, productivity, operational excellence and risk reduction.
• Ensure alignment and coordination with Group IT and other regions to standardize systems, leverage synergies, deploy global programs and promote best practices.
• Oversee IT governance across Asia, ensuring compliance with corporate cybersecurity policies, data protection requirements and local legal obligations.
• Work closely with Group IT, Cybersecurity, Compliance and local stakeholders to manage IT risks and ensure adherence to internal and external standards.
• Lead and coordinate IT teams across multiple countries, ensuring strong collaboration, capability development, performance management and succession planning for regional IT leadership.
• Manage IT infrastructure, applications and services across Asia, ensuring reliability, scalability, security, service quality and cost efficiency.
• Drive digital transformation initiatives across Asia by identifying, prioritizing and delivering projects that generate measurable business value.
• Lead regional data and analytics governance, ensuring trusted business data, master data quality, KPI standardization, data architecture consistency, Power BI / analytics platform effectiveness and appropriate data democratization.
• Govern the regional IT and digital project portfolio, ensuring prioritization based on business value, risk mitigation, return on investment, resource availability and strategic objectives.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, including AI, automation, robotics, industrial digitalization and digital factory solutions, and assess their potential impact on Hutchinson Asia competitiveness and operational performance.
• Lead and coordinate responsible AI-related projects across Asia, including business use-case identification, alignment with Group IT and cybersecurity/data protection requirements, implementation governance and adoption support.
• Ensure regional governance and support for key business applications, including ERP, OA/workflow systems, collaboration tools, analytics platforms and their integration with local and Group information systems.
• Clarify and manage the interface between IT/IS responsibilities and Operations digitalization, ensuring effective collaboration on MES, shopfloor connectivity, automation data exchange, infrastructure, cybersecurity and application support boundaries.
• Coordinate regional governance for IT/OT convergence, industrial connectivity and OT cybersecurity in collaboration with Operations.
• Oversee regional IT budgets, cost control, investment planning, sourcing choices and return-on-investment follow-up.
• Manage external vendors and partners across Asia, ensuring service quality, contractual compliance, cybersecurity compliance and cost efficiency.
• Prepare and present IT performance reports, KPIs, risks, priorities and strategic updates to regional and global leadership.
